Dr. Suzanne B. Schimmel is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with athletes and performers at the highest levels. She provides evidence-based psychological services addressing clinical mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating within the sport context. Suzanne earned her B.A. from Yale University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University. Her career has included extensive work with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and organizations across the NHL and MLS, giving her deep expertise in the unique psychological demands of elite sport. As a co-founder of The CAP Project, Suzanne is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality mental health services for athletes and building frameworks that support long-term psychological well-being alongside competitive excellence.
