I specialize in using a nervous system informed approach to support athletes in their ability to access the coaching, training, and skills they already have developed when it matters most.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with more than 10 years of experience working with complex trauma and addiction through a nervous-system lens. As an endurance athlete, ultramarathon runner, and mountain bike coach, I also understand firsthand how physiological state can influence our ability to access training and perform when the stakes are high. I specialize in helping athletes better understand the connection between their nervous system, body, and performance especially when pressure, competition, uncertainty, comparison, or adversity enters the picture. My work is designed to complement not replace the work athletic coaches already do. While coaches develop technical skills, fitness, strategy, and sport-specific abilities, I help athletes better understand and work with the internal system they perform through. Individual Performance Coaching One-on-one coaching provides athletes with personalized support in understanding their unique responses to pressure and developing practical skills for regulation, focus, recovery, and performance. This work can help athletes with: ● Performance anxiety and pressure ● Overthinking and loss of focus ● Comparison with other athletes ● Difficulty transferring practice performance into competition ● Recovering after mistakes or setbacks ● Confidence and self-doubt ● Staying present during high-pressure moments Team and Group Coaching and Consultation I offer interactive workshops and group coaching experiences for athletic teams, clubs, and programs. These sessions combine education with experiential exercises that help athletes understand how their bodies and nervous systems respond to pressure. Athletes learn practical tools they can use during training and competition.
