Setting Up Session Types

Session types define what you offer and how much you charge.

Creating a Session Type

Go to Session Types in the sidebar (under Settings > Session Types):

  1. Click Add Session Type
  2. Fill in:
    • Name — Choose from the library (e.g., "Initial Consultation", "Performance Coaching") or create a custom name
    • Description — What clients should expect from this session
    • Duration — Length of the session (e.g., 30 min, 50 min, 90 min)
    • Price — Set either what the client pays or what you earn. The platform automatically calculates the other based on the 20% platform fee
    • Format — Online, in-person, or both
  3. Click Save

Pricing and Fees

Monkey Mind charges a 20% platform fee on each session. When you set your price:

  • If you set "Client Pays" to $100, you earn $80
  • If you set "You Earn" to $80, the client pays $100

The dual pricing fields update automatically so you always see both numbers.

Managing Session Types

  • Edit — Update the name, description, duration, or price at any time
  • Deactivate — Hide a session type from your profile without deleting it
  • Delete — Permanently remove a session type (only if it has no bookings)
  • Package Only — Mark a session type as only available through packages (not bookable individually)

Session Types in Your Profile

Active session types appear on your public profile. Clients see the name, description, duration, and client-facing price.
