Transferring ownership of your organization
The owner is the one person who can add or remove admins, hand the organization over, or delete it. How to pass ownership to another admin.
What the owner can do that admins cannot
Every organization has exactly one owner. Admins run the organization day to day; the owner alone can:
- add or remove other admins,
- transfer ownership,
- delete the organization.
Handing over
- The new owner must already be an admin of the organization and an active member. Promote them first if they are not (Members → role dropdown).
- Go to Members, open the menu on their row, and choose Make owner.
- Confirm. You remain an admin; they become the owner immediately.
Only the current owner can do this. If the owner has left and cannot sign in, contact support.
