Paying by Card

Instead of holding a prepaid balance, your organization can save a card and be charged for each session as it is booked.

Your budgets and per-person allowances still apply in full. The only thing that changes is where the money comes from at the moment someone books.

Saving a card

Go to Billing in the sidebar
In the Card on file panel, click Add a card
Enter the card details and save

Only an organization Admin can add, replace or remove the card.

Switching to card payment

Once the card is saved, go to Settings → Organization profile → Payment mode and choose Card on file.

The order matters: save the card first, then switch. Switching without a card saved is refused, because an organization set to pay by card with no card would fail every booking.

Your balance is always used first

If your organization still has a wallet balance, that is spent before the card is charged. A $20 balance against a $150 session pays $20 from the balance and charges $130 to the card. Once the balance reaches zero, sessions go entirely on the card.

This means switching to card payment never strands money you have already paid us.

What you are agreeing to

The card is charged for each session your members book — for whatever the balance does not cover — as bookings are made. There is no subscription and no fixed monthly amount: you are charged for what you use. You can remove the card at any time, which stops all future charges.

Is it safe to save a card?

Yes. The card details go straight from your browser to Stripe, our payment provider. Monkey Mind never sees or stores your card number, and the security code on the back is never stored by anyone. We keep only the card type and last four digits so the page can show you which card is saved.

If a card is declined

The session is not booked and nothing is charged. The person booking is asked to have an organization Admin update the card. No budget is used.

Removing the card

Use the bin icon in the Card on file panel. If your organization is currently set to pay by card, switch back to the prepaid balance first — otherwise you would be left unable to book anything.
