How to message providers before or after booking a session.

Messaging Providers

You can message any provider on the platform, whether or not you've booked a session with them.

Starting a Conversation

  1. Visit a provider's profile
  2. Click the Message button
  3. Write your message and send

Message Requests

When you message a provider for the first time, it shows up as a message request on their end. The provider can choose to accept or decline.

  • If accepted, the conversation opens and you can chat freely
  • If declined, you'll see a notice that the provider isn't available for messaging

This helps providers manage their inbox and prioritize active clients.

Your Messages Inbox

Go to Messages in the sidebar to see all your conversations:

  • Conversations show the provider's name, last message preview, and timestamp
  • Unread badges show how many new messages you have
  • Use the search bar to find a specific conversation
  • Click any conversation to open the full message thread

In a Conversation

  • Messages appear in a chat view with timestamps
  • You'll see your messages on the right, the provider's on the left
  • Some messages may be system messages (e.g., booking confirmations sent automatically)

Archiving Conversations

Click the archive button on any conversation to remove it from your main inbox. Archived conversations can still be accessed if the provider messages you again.

Notifications

You'll receive an email and in-app notification when a provider sends you a message (if you have message notifications enabled in Settings).
