Changing your email address
How to change the email address on your account, what the confirmation step does, and what changes (or doesn't) when you switch.
Changing your email address
You can change the email associated with your Monkey Mind account from your settings. The change requires confirming from both your old and new email addresses, so make sure you can sign in to both inboxes before you start.
How to change it
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Click Change email next to your current email address.
- Type the new email. You'll need to enter your current password to continue.
- Click Send confirmation.
Two emails go out, both titled "Confirm email change":
- One to your current address — click the link in this one to approve the change from your old account.
- One to your new address — click the link in this one to confirm that address belongs to you.
The change only takes effect after BOTH links have been clicked. Until you click both, your account keeps using the old address. If you only click one and then try to sign in with the new email, it won't work — go back and click the other link.
What changes when your email changes
- Your login email updates (use the new one next time you sign in).
- Booking confirmations, reset emails, and all other notifications go to the new address.
- Your provider (if you have one) doesn't see your email either way — it isn't shared between you.
What doesn't change
- Your password stays the same.
- Your MFA setup (if any) stays the same.
- Your bookings, messages, and history are unaffected.
If you don't see the new-address confirmation email
Check the spam folder. If it's not there after a few minutes, try the change again from Settings — the confirmation links expire after a few hours, so if you waited too long the old request may have lapsed.
If you've lost access to one of the inboxes
If you can no longer get into your old email but still know your password, contact support. An admin can update the email on your account directly without the double-confirmation flow. If you've lost access to both inboxes, we'll need to verify your identity through another channel first.
Can I use a shared family email?
We recommend against it for an account that handles mental-health information — anyone with access to that inbox could reset your password. If multiple people in a household each need an account, each person should use their own email.
