Connecting Zoom to Monkey Mind
How providers connect their Zoom account so every session booked on Monkey Mind gets its own Zoom meeting automatically — and how to switch back or disconnect.
Connecting Zoom to Monkey Mind
If you give sessions on Monkey Mind, you can connect your own Zoom account so that every session booked with you gets its own Zoom meeting automatically. Your client receives the join link in their booking confirmation, and you never have to create or send a link yourself.
Before you start
- You need a Zoom account. A free Zoom account works; meetings are created on your own Zoom account, so its plan and limits apply (for example, the free plan's meeting length limit).
- You need to be signed in to Monkey Mind as a provider.
- If you don't see a Zoom option on the page below yet, Zoom is still being switched on for providers — it will appear there when it's ready.
Connecting Zoom
- Sign in to Monkey Mind and open Settings → Booking & Availability.
- Open the Video Conferencing tab.
- Next to Zoom, click Connect. If you already use Google Meet for your links, click Switch to Zoom instead.
- Zoom opens and asks you to sign in and allow Monkey Mind to create meetings for you. Click Allow.
- You come back to Monkey Mind and the box says Zoom is connected, with the Zoom account it's linked to.
That's it. Every new booking from now on gets a Zoom meeting.
What happens when a session is booked
- Monkey Mind creates a Zoom meeting on your account for the session time. It is called "Monkey Mind session" — your client's name and any notes are never sent to Zoom.
- Your client gets the join link in their confirmation email, on their booking page and in their calendar invitation.
- If your Google Calendar is connected, the session still appears there with the Zoom link on it.
- Every meeting has the waiting room on, so you let your client in. Clients don't need a Zoom account to join. Monkey Mind never records sessions.
- Rescheduled sessions move the Zoom meeting to the new time. Cancelled sessions delete the Zoom meeting.
Switching back to Google Meet
On the same Video Conferencing tab, choose to use Google for your meeting links. New bookings then get Google Meet links again. Sessions already booked keep the Zoom link they were given.
Disconnecting Zoom (removing the app)
- Go to Settings → Booking & Availability → Video Conferencing.
- Click Disconnect on the Zoom connection and confirm.
Monkey Mind then tells Zoom to cancel its access and deletes the access it had stored. You can also remove Monkey Mind from your Zoom account at any time from Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps, which has the same effect.
After disconnecting, new bookings won't get a Zoom link until you connect Zoom again, connect Google, or add your own meeting room link on the same tab. Sessions already booked keep their existing link.
What Monkey Mind can see in your Zoom account
Only what it needs: permission to create, update and delete the meetings it makes for your bookings, and your Zoom account's email so we can show which account is connected. It cannot see your other meetings, recordings, chats or contacts. Full details are in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
