Paying for sessions with your team's budget

If your team, school or employer sponsors your sessions, the team budget appears at checkout and is chosen for you. Here is what it looks like and why it might be missing.

Paying for sessions with your team's budget

If your team, school or employer has set up a team on Monkey Mind and added you to it, your sessions are paid for from the team budget. You never enter a card.

How you can tell you're on a team

  • Top of the left menu: your team's name and logo, with "Team budget · $X left" under it.
  • Top of your Dashboard: a box saying "You're on <team>" and how much is left.

If you don't see either of those, you are not on a team with the account you're signed in to — see below.

What checkout looks like

At the payment step, the team budget is listed first and already selected, showing the team's name and how much is left. Press Confirm and you're booked. The card option sits underneath for anything the team doesn't cover.

"It's asking me for a card" — why the team budget might be missing

  1. You're signed in with a different account. The most common one. If you were invited on your school or work email but signed up with a personal address, the team may be attached to one account and you're in the other. Look at the email shown at the bottom of the left menu. If it isn't the address your team invited, open the invitation email again while signed in — you can join with the account you're using — or sign in with the invited address.
  2. You haven't accepted the invitation yet. Being invited isn't the same as joining. Open the invitation email and press View Invitation, then Join. If you already have an account on the invited address, the invitation is also waiting on your Dashboard.
  3. The budget is used up. The team budget still appears, but greyed out with "$0 remaining". Ask your team admin about topping it up; until then you can pay by card for that session.
  4. The session is package-only. Some providers offer sessions that can only be bought as part of a package. Those can't be paid from a team budget. Choose a different session type from the same provider.
